Classroom Music

Every student receives age-appropriate, quality, comprehensive instruction in music from K4 through 8th grade. An inductive approach is used in many of the musical units, and these units are designed to expand student understanding of musical styles, methods, theory, and careers. Musical concepts are developed through performance and study of music itself.

Classroom choirs sing in our worship services. In addition to singing, children are given experiences in performing on African and Latin American drums and rhythm instruments. Experiences in playing handchimes/handbells and recorders are provided. Other performing opportunities include regularly scheduled musicals, musical reviews, and talent shows.
