As a former Roman Catholic, I've always been interested in the differences between Lutherans and Catholics. It is true that there are many major differences, including the teachings about the Sacraments, Mary and the saints, and the more fundamental doctrines of forgiveness and justification. But there are also many similarities, which are great "starting points" to witness the truth of God's free grace in Jesus to your Catholic friends.
